Our focus is to continue to develop clean and green energy by unlocking the potential power of hydro. This motivation is fuelled from a passionate belief in environmental sustainability, reducing fossil fuel consumption and in contributing to global renewable energy targets.
Conservation and reducing environmental impact is part of this vision- working with the natural environment and not against it. The research and design phase of a hydroelectric project will always highlight various ecological constraints and considerations, including habitat protection, migratory fish ‘easement’ and use of eco-materials so that the impact of small-scale hydro can be kept to an absolute minimum.
Previously working closely with the Welsh government, Natural Resources Wales (NRW), CADW and other government organisations, Hydro Schemes is well equipped to continue to expand its portfolio globally.
